How To - Order a Repeat Prescription
You can request repeat
prescriptions:
• from the reception desk,
• by post with a stamped addressed envelope,
Please allow 36 hours before coming to collect the prescription.
Ideally, we would like you to use the tear-off portion of your repeat
prescription. If this is not available or if the request is for a drug
that is not on the tear-off slip, you will need to put your request in
writing, making sure that we have the correct name, strength and dosage of
the medication you need.
If you as a patient, feel that you are taking a medicine which is not
helping your condition please tell us at your next appointment. If you do
not know, or cannot remember, why the doctor has prescribed a certain drug
please ask us to explain why at your next appointment.
If you have stopped taking a drug, please let us know. We can update our
records accordingly.
Pre-payment Certificate
If you have to pay for your prescriptions and get more than five items in
4 months, or 14 in 12 months, you could save money by buying a pre-payment
certificate.
Ring 0845 850 0030 to buy one over the phone using your
credit/debit card.
Alternatively, you can go to the
Department of Health website for a form to apply by post.
